Harharhar!!!

But to the Etymology: Doughboys was the former name of US infantrists, before they were called GIs (Government Issues, a type of fighter slaves.) For these troops a special kind of sugar cookie belonged to the food rations, so this was called a doughnut. If the sergeant orders private Paula to eat a doughnut in the face of the company (scene in Fullmetal Jacket), this is an evil affront to the troopers, which means: eat your own comrades.

In the Mc Donald´s America, nobody knows anything about this origins.
